It became consequently known that, Gregory Pasko was arrested when he was returning from Japan (Where he visited grave sites of Russian sailors) in customs. He exceeded authorities, custom officials were careful and knew about the papers Gregory had which he expressed was open material, which he used as a journalist for preparing of articles. After, officials at the FSB headquarters from the Pacific Fleet wanted to search Pasko's apartment. They took the papers and "spy tools used to obtain information" and seized the suspect and sent him to prison. Source, who must be trusted, said, that the confiscated tools which were used in the crime included a computer, car and . television. Perhaps, in the thoughts of the initiators a televeision helped to spy on government secrets, аnd a мachine helped to transfer secrets.
Pasko challenged them with great anxiety. FSB kept everything they took including his computer. In particular, it was vague, how they actually discovered the contents in his computer. The problem is that it is too easy to enter the facts WHICH WERE NOT THERE, and then announce, that they maintained elements and from where they were stolen.
Among the factual papers were many such papers, which Pasko received from numerous people because he was a journalist. Knowing that Pasko is quite punctilious, his words may be trusted, about exactly what he was doing with the documents in question, which have official organizational stamps. Now FSB announced, that a lot of documented facts were in fact secret. Is this a pressure? or planned provocation? Or the protection the people, who translated the factual documents? Checking will be complicated, because if the documents were truly secret for defense purposes, they will not be accessible by the general public.
Gregory Pasko has advocates - Oleg Kotljakov and Yaroslav Gerin. Now they are talking about the materials in question in regards to whether or not there were sufficient grounds for an arrest, maintaining 275 pages in law suite procedure (governmental treason)
