BIOGRAPHICAL POINTS
Valentine I.Moiseyev was born in Leningrad on the 10th of March, 1946.
From 1964 till 1969 he studied at the Economic faculty of Moscow State Institute of International Relations (MGIMO).
After graduating he worked in the Ambassy of the Soviet Union in Pyongyang (North Korea) as a assesor, chief-assesor, attache till 1972.
From 1972 till 1975 he worked in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs as attache, after that as third secretary.
1975-1976 - during his second commission to Pyongyang he worked as second secretary.
1977-1983 - he was a junior member of staff of the Institute of World Socialist System of Academy of Science of the Soviet Union. During this term he defended a thesis and became a kandidat of economic science on North Korea.
1982-1989 - he worked in the Trade Representation of the Soviet Union in North Korea, after that in the Soviet Ambassy there.
1992-1994 - the first secretary, after that as a counsillor in the Ambassy of Russian Federation in Seoul (South Korea)/
1994-1996 - he worked in central machinery of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs as a chief of Korean Department, later - as a Deputy Director of the 1 Asian Department.
During all this time he paid a lot attention to science, concerning problems of Korean Peninsular. Many of his scientific works were published in scientific issues, magazines and so on, he took an active part in scientific conferences in Russia and abroad.
He is married, has two children.
